Pakistan secured a 2-0 Test series victory with the help of Noman's seven-wicket haul.

In the evening session in Colombo, the left-arm spinner claimed the first seven wickets, while fast bowler Naseem Shah took the final three, resulting in Sri Lanka being bowled out for 188.

On Thursday, Noman Ali's exceptional performance of taking seven wickets led Pakistan to a comprehensive victory over Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs, resulting in a 2-0 series sweep.

During the evening session in Colombo, Noman, the left-arm spinner, claimed the first seven wickets, while fast bowler Naseem Shah took the final three, bowling Sri Lanka out for 188.

Noman's remarkable figures of 7-70 in his 15th Test played a crucial role in Pakistan's biggest Test win over Sri Lanka and their fourth overall victory by an innings. It was also Sri Lanka's heaviest Test defeat at home.

Captain Babar Azam praised the team's hunger to win the series and credited everyone for stepping up.

In the first innings, Pakistan declared at 576-5 with a massive lead of 410 runs. Opener Abdullah Shafique's outstanding knock of 201, along with three century stands, contributed to Pakistan's aggressive approach, inspired by "Bazball," England's coach Brendon McCullum and skipper Ben Stokes' aggressive style.

Abdullah Shafique was awarded the Man of the Match for his maiden Test double century, while Agha Salman received the Man of the Series for his 221 runs, including a significant partnership with double-centurion Saud Shakeel in the first match in Galle.

In Sri Lanka's second innings, they initially had a solid opening stand of 69 runs, but Noman's brilliant spell dismantled their batting order. Angelo Mathews put up resistance with an unbeaten 63, but Sri Lanka could not avoid the heavy defeat.

Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan's concussion substitute, played a crucial role in reaching 50 runs off 67 balls, forming a crucial partnership of 108 runs with Salman.

With Sri Lanka bundling out for just 166 in their first innings, Karunaratne acknowledged that their batting unit needed to step up, and the low score put them on the back foot throughout the match.
